Accommodation
Loews
Santa Monica Beach Hotel.
Absolute luxury. A really beautiful room which overlooked the beach. The
children thought it was fabulous, mainly because there was a television
in the bathroom. The room was sumptious and bathroom had separate bath
and walk-in shower. Good sized pool and jacuzzi with lots of sunbeds and
also chairs overlooking Santa Monica beach and pier. Staff were courteous
and helpful. Not snobbish but friendly.
Went
to bar first night and children ordered fries and hotdogs from menu. They
got huge adult portions which they couldn't eat. I complained and they
were taken off my bill, which I thought was very reasonable. |

Travelogue
A once in a lifetime holiday, it really
felt like pure luxury from the time the stretch limo picked us up at the
airport until it was time for our return journey to go home. Loved the
atmosphere around there and the children loved all the crazy people working
out on the beach each day, from the most beautiful to elderly yoga enthusiasts.
Most memorable moment was when we were picked up at the airport by the stretch limo. I thought the children would stay bug-eyed forever. Definitely the highlight of their holiday. Also loved Universal Studios which was much larger than the Florida one. Hubby's best moment was Mann's Chinese Theatre and seeing all the famous handprints and footprints. Who knew John Wayne had such small feet! Highlight for me was meeting up with a cousin who lives in LA and who I hadn't seen since she was three. What made this holiday enjoyable was the fact that my young son had won it as a prize in a competition. |
