Compact, comfortable and clean. A very happy helpful crew. Meals, first
class international cuisine, served by beautiful, smiley waitresses. A
bonus for "Wrinklies!" Some Russian dishes were offered, no
one would ever go hungry. There was an oppurtunity to sample caviar and
vodkas. Maybe my report is influenced by them, even though I am a light
drinker! A wonderful experience. After 55 countries, this is in our top
3 holidays. |

Overall
Review
A pleasant suprise that Russia is putting its past behind it, and now
people feel than can smile and enjoy themselves. There is still poverty
in the countryside. Moscow has traffic jams worse that London. We will travel with Viking cruises again. River cruising is special, relaxed and much less formal. We do not like ocean cruising. |

Tips
1)
Take a lot of $1 bills for tips etc. Every one accepts them. They have
heard of the Euro, but not the pound. 2) Watch your pockets in the Metro.
3) Street traders are easy to deal with. No real hassle. 4) Pack a wooly
& Mac. 5) The Russian beer is good, the vodka lethal, the soups heaven! |
