New
York Hotel.
The hotel was very clean and we enjoyed the smart appearance of table
cloths at breakfast. However, for those with families the hotel does have
a relaxed atmosphere. There's a swimming pool, sauna & steam room
included for that early morning wake up before breakfast and a day in
the parks. The hotel is just a two minutes walk to Disney Village or five
minutes to the theme parks. For those who enjoy ice skating there is an
open-air rink outside the hotel (extra cost 10 euro for adults & 7
euros for children). I'd highly recommend paying the extra and upgrading
to experience those little extras that make a difference.

Travelogue
I had been saving my Tesco clubcard vouchers for about
2 years and as a premier customer (ie average spend in Tescos is more
than £60 per week) I received 4 times the value of the vouchers
which almost paid for the holiday with Ledger Travel.
We travelled by coach departing at 9am and arrived at Disneyland at
approximately 9pm. Although it is quite a tiring journey there are plenty
of comfort stops, a toilet on board. Leg room is quite tight for the
taller person so you might like to consider an alternaive transport
like Eurostar which will take you right up to the theme
parks.
We headed
for Disney village after checking in at our hotel and
had something to eat at Annettes Dinner, an American
style dinner serving various burgers with chips etc! Here the waitresses
stop every so often to dance on the tables to Grease Lightening - it
was all great fun.
We spent 2 days and 2 nights at Disney departing at 6pm on the 2nd day.
We could have done with an extra evening really as we spent our only
full evening going to see the Buffalo Bill Wild West show.
I think my preference for anyone on a short stay would be to spend the
extra few hours in the park and then Disney village rather than see
the show. There is more to do in the park as opposed to the studio park,
however the studio must be done - the best roller coaster is there,
a fairly good stunt show and for the children and those tired adults
- animagique. I highly recommend the character breakfast - the food
is good and you'll have lots of fun with the Disney characters.

Tips 1) If travelling
by coach, take a packed lunch for the day as the ferry crossing is only
just under an hour and a half and the restaurant is manic. 2) Take
a multi pack of drinks and snacks for the Parks. 3) Get
up early to arrive at the parks to get all the fast passes for all the popular
rides. This will provide you with a ticket for specified time to use without
queing for long periods of time. It really works. |
