Accommodation Nana Angelas Apartment. What a wonderful surprise for a last minute booking! For under £300, we stayed in a recently renovated apartment block, all of which overlooked a well sized, clean pool, with the sun bearing down all day until about 5pm when you were desperately in need of shade.

The rooms were standard but very clean, all linen changed daily and the staff all pleasant and accommodating.

  
 
Travelogue Nana Angela was run by Angela and Marco and their meal service was snack based only but their Greek salad at 1 euro 50 was to die for and more than enough for the whole faily..never mind one!

Wednesday evening was local Greek night and Angela provided typical Greek food with music around the pool until the early hours for a mere 10 euros. Well worth it.

Only 50 metres off the beach, you could stroll along the beachfront for about a mile with hills behind you and the surf of the med in front..beautiful at sunset and a midnight stroll.

The beach was clean - there were plenty of sun beds and we chose the orange ones as they were cheaper. As the bay is rocky you have to enter the water carefully or know where to walk through without stepping on the rocks. Perhaps this is not suitable for small children but it's great for the more adventurous and the surfs were wonderful to pretend you were surfing on airbeds.

Local amenities are still minimal so you get a truly traditional feel, although no doubt, more hotels will be being built as I write. All the bars were Brit friendly and drinks were cheap and strong, food was plenty and tasty..I recommend Zoe's Bar for the ouzos and Vassilli's for the pizzas..best pizza out of Italy!!

All in all, a relaxing fortnight..the lively areas were 30 mins by local bus..and you could go on the boat rides and local train for a simple sightseeing tour..

For relaxation, friendliness and value, Analypsis is brilliant.
