Accommodation Hotel Panthea. Lovely, peaceful, quiet, homely family run small hotel. Having stayed there before the proprietor treated us almost like family, and could not do enough for us. Spotlessly tidy, and yet fairly basic, with beautiful balcony views across the bay of Samos. It was B&B, although she, the owner, was always prepared to cook us something or prepare us a salad. Something as basic as a Tuna salad was served in a way I have never tasted before.

Travelogue Having visited the island several times we have fallen in love with the place. The people are friendly and what is amazing is that they remember you. There is lots to do, lots to visit and yet you will always find something new. It is wonderfully under-lively, which keeps our booze-culture away, making it the ideal haven to relax. We will go again, even though we do visit other places.

Must See Attractions

  • Pythagoria not far from airport.
  • Village of Manalates inland from the coastroad, not far from Kokari
  • Tsili Amos sandy beach, north east of the island

Fab Tips

  • Hire a car to get around the island.
  • Go with the idea of a relaxing holiday, yet understand that there is much to do, and much to see and certainly enjoy.
