Accommodation Hotel Treasure Island. Treasure Island is on Las Vegas' famous strip. It is home to the Sirens of Treasure Island Pirate Show which airs three times per night at the front of the hotel. The hotel has an amazing 36 floors and every room is sumptious. Ours had two queen sized beds and the bathroom was marbled and luxurious. Full of restaurants whether you want an expensive steak dinner or a buffet meal, as well a numerous bars such as Kahunaville which was lively and brash. As well as shows each night in the theatre, the hotel also sports a swimming pool, wedding chapel, spa and many other amenities. The casino is vast and there is something for every type of gambler and of course you can play all day and night as most things ar open 24/7.

Travelogue Absolutely out of this world. We married whilst in Vegas and decided to have a drive thru wedding which was an experience neither of us will forget and one to tell the grandchildren. Tacky yes but a fantastic night. We spent hours visiting the casinos and hotels along the strip, some of which have fairground rides, half size models of the Eiffel Tower and replica New York Streets to name but a few. A fantastic buzzing place and one that I want to re-visit.

Fab Tips

  • www.vegas.com gives an insight into Vegas itself and the links I have previously mentioned are all invaluable.
  • Take plenty of sun cream and light clothing as Vegas is situated in the middle of a desert and even in April temperatures reached the high seventies.
