Travelogue Great! As title would suggest, do not be put off by apartmenst on hillside. The views are better, it is much cleaner and much safer. A nice walk down and approx 2EUR to get back up the hill (taxi drivers are friendly)!

Weather fantastic (30-40), lots of Brits on holiday and working in bars so nice opportunity to meet people. Would recommend Amadores beach over Puerto Rico although both beaches are clean, safe (CCTV), not too busy and the sea is beautiful (and again clean)!

Swimming Pools in centre for approx 5EUR if kids getting bit hot by beach. As with any place there are always people trying to get you into restaurants and bars but in Puerto Rico, it seemed to be a lot more friendly and there was not as much pressure to eat there as there are with other places. We did not experience any people trying to sell tack and no one with leaflets for clubs etc. However, if you are after Clubs, Playas de Ingles is only approx 8EUR in a cab and is very very lively!

Accommodation Colina Mar Apartments. A very good on all accounts. Self Catering or Half Board. We were self catering but tried the buffet on final night (8EUR) which was outstanding. Apartments were very family friendly. Entertainers were great. Large Swimming pools which are quite quiet. Open 10am - 8pm so nice to have a dip before and after your day trip.

Eating Out Europa Centre, Puerto Rico Town Centre, Puerto Rico Beach Areas, Puerto Rico

Fab Tips Remember water, especially if you are doing the 720 step down to main beach! Europa centre up the hill is equally as good if not better (as it is friendlier and smaller) than main commercial centre. Get out on the water - it is beautiful! Try scuba diving if you can! If you are in Colina Mar - I would recommending asking for apartments at the opposite end of the public toilets.
