Travelogue This hotel/lodge is set in Olympica national park/forest in Washington state in the far north west of the USA. It is in a beautiful lake setting with a tropical rain forest all around and the Olympic snow covered mountains as a background. There are no phones, tvs papers radios etc it is so peaceful.
The hotel has a restaurant serving a full menu of typical American fare at breakfast lunch and dinner. However there is no room service. There are a couple of diners in the area if your taste runs to hamburgers etc for the children. The rooms are spotless and very very comfortable.

There are numerous walks through the rain forest teeming with wildlfe. There are boats, canoes fishing and lots of outdoor activities. A first class indoor swimming pool (heated), and an amusement type arcade within the hotel for the children with table soccer, table tennis, arcade type machines and various games.

The Pacific beaches are about an hours drive away where you can find deserted beaches with the rolling waves and white powder sand. All in all a perfect restful and/or active whatever you want to do holiday.

I have been all over the world including New Zealand and Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Canada but the scenery here and the pace of life is just so incredible. It was a totally different holiday.
