Accommodation Aqua Hotel. Hotel Aqua promenade is 50 mtr from a railway station and 50 mtrs from the beach. Hotel is 4 star standard - very clean-excellent service. Staff are very courteous and polite. Food is buffet style with vast range of choice. Each day varied dishes of rice, pasta, fish, meats, salads and fruit covered every form of diet.  
 

Travelogue The situation of the resort, the closeness of the hotel to the beach and the railway was ideal for us..The railway runs right down the coast to Barcelona and the airport every 30 mins. A fifty minute journey costs £2.50 The resort of Pineda de Mar is clean with friendly people, nice bars, cafes and restaurants.

It is wheelchair friendly (very flat). The clean beach runs for miles.

I liked the typical spanish market held weekly in Pineda right in front of the hotel.

Fab Tips

  • Do not use mobile phones. Call boxes are everywhere and very cheap.
  • No need to hire a car as the railway system is cheap and very reliable.
  • Exchange centres (two in Pineda) give good rates.
  • Pre-request sea view and early/late meal sitting.
  • Take very high sun-factor cream.
